WELCOMING ALL Star of the Sea PARISHIONERS BACK TO MASS

If you are watching Mass from home, wondering what is going on in the Parish or want to be part of the Parish community again, read our WELCOME BACK LETTER.

- Parishioners: We anticipate that many of you will be traveling this summer so we wish you a restful and nearest Catholic Church at: memorable trip!  As you venture out, you can find the local churches and Mass times at:   https://catholicmasstime.org/

Parishioners,

As you may recall, I submitted my resignation last summer and to date, we have not hired a replacement.  St. Thomas picked up some of the duties and I have stepped in to do the rest, however, effective today, July 1st, I am stepping down as the church secretary.  I am hopeful that as things continue to normalize, that the position might look more attractive.

In the meantime, we will rely on volunteers and the St. Thomas staff to fulfill the duties and responsibilities.  If you have any questions, you can contact the St. Thomas office at:  360-834-2126.  The St. Thomas staff will also be checking for messages on our church phone as well.  Please know that I will happily train the replacement to the point that the individual feels comfortable with the position.

Thank you to all our many volunteers for donating your time and talent to our church and who helped make my job easier.

Cathy Delzio

                                          Thank you, Cathy!

Her cheerful service to the parish is going to be missed maybe even more than the efficiency and organized way she managed her multitude of tasks.  Cathy took on her ministry to the church as a career change and she jumped in with both feet to learn all the quirky nuances that happen with in church work.

For over five years, Cathy Delzio has been our wonderful ‘do-it-all’ person for Our Lady Star of the Sea.  She has provided invaluable service to the community through handling all the details necessary behind the scenes of the parish and has done so joyfully and with the most giving and kind spirit possible.

Please join me in saying, “Thank you, Cathy, for your loyalty to Our Lady Star of the Sea.  You have been appreciated more than words can express and your service will be sorely missed.“

God bless you!
Lorrie Conway
